— Cartus Corporation announced today that its Singapore office has won the Leading HR Practices in Learning and Human Capital Development Award at the prestigious Singapore HR Awards 2012.
Cartus is a leading provider of global relocation services, moving employees into and out of over 165 countries around the world and assisting in more than 153,000 relocations during 2011.
Conferred by the Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI), a not-for-profit professional HR body representing more than 3,000 HR professionals, the Singapore HR Awards celebrates organizational and individual successes in the HR arena.
"At Cartus, our most valued asset is our people. We take pride in providing good organizational learning and best-practices training that allow our employees to learn, share, and acquire knowledge," said Kenneth Kwek, senior vice president and general manager of Cartus Asia Pacific operations. "I would like to express my sincere thanks to the Global Learning and Development and Asia Pacific HR teams. Their commitment has been instrumental in developing behaviours and competences that have led to best-in-class performances and excellent service results, sustaining the business success of our company."
Cartus, along with other leading organizations such as Singapore Press Holdings, Singapore General Hospital, and the Singapore Ministry of Manpower, were among the recipients honored in this category.
Judged by an independent panel of recognized human resources leaders, organizations were assessed according to four main criteria: communication and innovation, contribution to organization and business needs, as well as employee needs and contribution at industry level.
