Keeping the One-Year Rule in Perspective

Most standard domestic employee relocation policies are built on the concept that a domestic relocation lasts one year from start to finish, and most good policies also detail an exception process. Perlman addresses the risks and costs of extending the one-year timeframe in a challenging real estate market, when an employee might need more than one year to attract a buyer for his or her home.
