Language training is integral to success in the international setting. Our language programs are designed and implemented to meet the specific needs of your assignees, accompanying family members, business travelers, and other non-relocating individuals. Programs are available for a multitude of languages throughout the world.

All Cartus language trainers are selected for their proven training ability and their experience in adapting instructional methods to the needs of the individual. They all have advanced degrees in language teaching, linguistics or a related field; many have lived and worked outside of their home countries and all have at least three years' experience training international business professionals, their partners and families.

Individualized Programs Based on Your Needs

Cartus’ language trainers develop individualized programs to meet the needs of each of your participants, based on the results of the initial needs assessment process. We design our programs for such practical applications as function-specific skills and vocabulary and conversational proficiency in order to increase your participant’s competency and confidence. The quality of the training is monitored to ensure that instruction attains your participant’s and company’s goals.

Every aspect of our training programs is customized, right down to the time and location. For your international assignees, we provide both pre-departure and post-arrival language training. Training may be conducted at your participant’s home or office, and is flexibly scheduled to accommodate business travel and other time constraints.

Program Options

• Assignee-specific Language Solutions. Ongoing Training offers sessions at the convenience and pace of your
  participant(s). The trainer and participant(s) work together to establish a schedule and program customized to your
  participant(s) objectives and learning style. May be conducted for individuals or groups.
• Corporate Language Training. Intensive Training provides concentrated language learning in half- or full-day sessions to move your participant(s) more quickly to a functioning level in the target language. May be conducted for individuals or groups.
• Advanced Business Communication. Business English Communication Assessment (B.E.C.A.) utilizes proficiency testing and advanced skills mapping to determine your employee’s current level of English, a breakdown of performance by area (grammar, comprehension, speaking) and the level of English necessary for optimal job performance. Based on assessment results, B.E.C.A. also prescribes a personal language learning solution for each participant.
