Maybe they weren’t actually “on a mission” like Chicago’s favorite sons, the Blues Brothers; nevertheless, they were very determined to show up and show off their stuff! I’m referring, of course, to the more than 370 members of the Cartus Global Network—the crème de la crème of the relocation industry’s global providers—who took over a good portion of the Windy City for the 14th annual Cartus Global Network Conference, as you can see in our conference video. This year’s conference was themed “Today, Tomorrow, Together” − and together they stood, representing 190 companies from 43 countries united by a single theme: a strong commitment to personifying Cartus’ mission, vision, and values by delivering an exceptional supply chain experience to each and every customer, each and every day.
The 2014 winners of the two Masters Cup awards—the pinnacle of achievement in the supply chain world—were household goods shipper DMS Moving Systems of Canton, Michigan, and destination services supplier Vinelli & Scotto, headquartered in Italy. They were among the 154 honorees in the categories of “Commitment to Excellence” and “Innovation” at the silver, gold, and platinum levels. Also presented at the event was the Cartus Global Citizenship Award, annually given to a Cartus supplier who is committed to making an impact on the health, welfare, and safety of others, and/or for improving a community’s quality of life on a national or international basis. This year’s winner was Arpin Group, Inc. of Rhode Island, and Cartus made a contribution to their designated charity.
“Our conference theme—Today, Tomorrow, Together’—represents what we can accomplish when we work together and take advantage of every opportunity to learn and grow as the worldwide economy continues to improve,” said our president and CEO, Kevin Kelleher. “The annual Global Network Conference celebrates the power of our suppliers’ association with Cartus and underscores our responsibilities to our clients and customers worldwide.”
Also taking the dais was Tim Erblich, CEO of the Ethisphere Institute, the management consulting firm that publishes Ethisphere Magazine and announces its list of the “World’s Most Ethical Companies” annually. We’re very proud that our parent company, Realogy Corporation, has been named to that list for three consecutive years.
We are proud also that our suppliers consistently offer our clients and their transferring employees the levels of service and quality they have come to expect from Cartus. For our clients, the results include cost savings, more productive moves, and smoother transactions for employees. For our customers, it means working with highly trained and monitored suppliers who are held to the industry’s most rigorous performance standards.
