Service members possess some of the key qualities that are critical to our success, and also transition seamlessly into the Cartus culture. These include; leadership, integrity, unique perspectives, diverse skillsets, commitment to excellence, and dedication to teamwork.

Our Veteran’s Council, established in 2005, consists of a team of employees who meet on a monthly basis. These veteran council members, in conjunction with our Diversity Committee, are actively involved in on-site veteran-related activities such as the Save-a-Suit drive, Memorial Day, Veteran’s Day, POW/MIA Observance Day, and fundraising events. They also serve as mentors to our new-hire veterans.

Working parents

Approximately half of our workforce consists of working parents. Cartus understands the importance of family and maintaining proper work/life balance, so we offer benefits such as; maternity and paternity leave, free flu shots, childcare referral service, flexible hours, and educational scholarships, to name a few. There are also many fun “family-friendly” events Cartus hosts at our corporate and regional locations.

People with disabilities

We pride ourselves on our outreach efforts and hiring candidates with disabilities. We work closely with many local and federal agencies. One key partnership we have is with the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services. We participate in their internship program, their yearly meetings, and attend career fairs that focus on hiring applicants with disabilities. Every October, Cartus celebrates National Disability Awareness month with educational seminars on various topics relating to people with disabilities.
