In November, Cartus APAC had our annual CSR day where teams from Singapore, China, China Hong Kong, and India took time off from our busy schedules to give back to society, spending meaningful time with the elderly, children, and rescue animals, supporting migrant workers, and contributing to a greener environment.
Our Singapore team of nearly one hundred went to three different beneficiaries – St Luke’s ElderCare Centers, Punggol Migrant Workers Dormitory, and Student Care at Concord Primary School.
At St. Luke’s ElderCare and Dementia Centers, our volunteers organized carnival themed games and arts and crafts sessions for 130 seniors. These activities, created to encourage interaction and creativity, filled the day with joy and laughter. The lively atmosphere not only excited the seniors, but also gave them new experiences, from practicing motor skills to singing enthusiastically during the karaoke session.
At the migrant worker dormitory, we conducted a presentation and postcard-making workshop where the workers personalized their card to be sent home to their loved ones. We also gifted essential care packages to show our appreciation and solidarity with our fellow migrant brothers.
Lastly, I had the privilege to spend time with the children at Concord Primary Student Care Centre organized by Fei Yue Community Services. I, together with 20 other volunteers, were warmly welcomed by energetic eight-to-nine-year-olds where we played interactive games and gave out goodie bags/refreshments. We had loads of fun and interactions, and the afternoon just flew past.
Cartus China team came together at Zhongshan Park for a meaningful community service clean-up exercise. The team worked side-by-side to clean up the park, contributing to a cleaner, greener environment and strengthening their connection with the local community. Their energy, teamwork, and commitment brought a positive impact and made Zhongshan Park a cleaner and pleasant place for all!
Our Bengaluru team partnered with the Marpu Foundation to support re-forestation through a seedball-making session. Together with the students from Halasuru, they mixed red soil with compost and seed to produce over 400 seedballs for planting. They also learned about the importance of trees and how seedballs help grow forests. Every child took the seedballs home to plant and grow new trees in the area in which they live.
Over at Delhi, the team donated medicines worth INR 15,000 to support the treatment and care of rescued animals at the Hanumat Foundation. The donation will provide two months of adequate treatment for all animals under their care. The volunteers also had an educational session on animal psychology and basic animal rescue and treatment.
At Cartus, our dedication to doing good, uplifting our local communities, and caring for the environment truly shapes who we are. Every initiative, big or small, reflects our belief that kindness and teamwork can spark real change—whether it’s bringing joy to seniors, supporting our migrant brothers, or working together for a greener tomorrow. Moving forward, we’re excited to keep building a more compassionate and sustainable community, grounded in our values and our shared spirit.
Lastly, I want to give a heartfelt shoutout to our amazing community champions, whose enthusiasm and guidance brought the APAC teams together in these meaningful experiences. The creativity and kindness inspire us all and help make every effort brighter and more impactful. Thank you for leading the way and showing us what it means to truly care for others and the world we share.
