Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Jie, is a traditional festival celebrated in China and throughout Asia. The festival’s formation can be traced back over 2,000 years ago. One of the most popular stories associated with the festival is the legend of the patriotic poet, Qu Yuan. People beat drums and paddle out in boats on the river as they once did to commemorate the death of Qu Yuan.
