Terri: Hi everyone. I’m Terri Bonfiglio, Director of Global Consulting here at Cartus…

Kristi: And I’m Kristi Lund, Director of Strategic Business Solutions here at Cartus, as well. And Terri and I are so excited to welcome you to this very special episode of Mobility Matters.

Terri: It’s hard to believe we’re already at the end of season four. What an incredible journey it’s been, Kristi, we’ve had some unforgettable conversations this season.

Kristi: Absolutely, Terri, there’s really too many to recap all today, but I think one of my favorite conversations was talking about the future of mobility with our president and CEO, Matt Tebbe, and our guest speaker, Greg Lindsay. It was really fun to take a look forward at the evolving needs of a global workforce and discuss how we at Cartus can stay ahead of the curve and mobility. So, that was one of my favorites. And I also really enjoyed staying away from our typical thought leadership episodes when talking with Ben Cross and Brenda Thoeny-Johnson about our favorite real stories and why as an industry we do what we do. So, we’ve had really fun conversations this season. What about you, Terri, what were your favorites?

Terri: Oh, I would have to say the one on internships was one of the first ones I did. It was with Doris Ng from Medtronic and talking about how innovative she is with running her program. I think the one on implementations was terrific. We talked to Arjun from Baker Hughes and Morgan Snapp from our business development group, and how thoughtful that conversation was, and really understanding how to take something that’s very complex, like an implementation, and really creating a strategic plan and tackling it in a way that can meet some of the strong objectives that were, that were placed in front of us.

And I think the other one that we just recently closed on, you actually hosted it, and I got to speak, and that was the one on current [US] real estate trends. So those are some of the ones that I think of, but they were all really great. I’m so pleased that we had the participation that we did.

And now we have to wrap season four. We’ve got some big news to share… Kristi and I are thrilled to introduce your co-hosts for season five…

***Drum roll***

Please get ready to meet Lisa Johnson and Chris Cole.

Chris: Hi everyone!

Lisa: Hey there!

Kristi: Hello to both of you! That’s right, friend of the show, Lisa Johnson, Director of Global Consulting, who’s based in the U.S., and Chris Cole, Director of Global Talent Mobility at Cartus, joining us from the UK. So, welcome Lisa and Chris.

Lisa: Well, hello, Mobility Matters listeners. I love this group and it’s true, because I’ve definitely taken part in many episodes as a guest, but I’m really excited to put on a different hat this season and be joining as one of the new co-hosts. And how about you, Chris?

Chris: Yes, absolutely, Lisa. Hi everybody. I’m absolutely thrilled to be stepping in as one of the new co-hosts for season five of Mobility Matters. You know, it’s a real privilege to be part of this next chapter, and I can’t wait to dive into some of the big conversations that are shaping talent mobility today. You know, we’ve got some great guests lined up and plenty of fresh perspective to share from across the mobility and HR world.

Terri: Yeah, so not to put you on the spot, I know you’re relatively new to the role, but are there any sneak peeks you could share with us ahead of the launch of season five? Any topics you’re hoping to cover?

Lisa: Well, I don’t know, Chris, if we want to divulge our secrets so far, but you know what, Terri? This year, Cartus has really been focusing on a topic that has come and gone over the years, mobility ROI. And we actually just wrapped up our second focus group with clients on this. t’s definitely a challenging topic, but also a hot topic, and honestly, I can’t wait to dig into it on Mobility Matters next year.

We know that companies out there are pouring so much energy into building great mobility programs, right? And at the end of the day, still so many companies that we talk to, and work with, have more questions than answers when it comes to the actual return on their relocation strategies, budgets, and everything else. So, we really want to shed some light on that. Let me think, because I know there are so many things that we’ve talked about covering, but another one that I really want to talk about is data insights. And there’s a whole episode that’s brewing about the power of analytics.

And Kristi, I see your head nodding. Terri, you and I, the [Cartus] Consulting team, we know that so many questions come in about that, right? So, you know, just to be able to talk about whether it’s head counts and spreadsheets, but also deep diving into the numbers and uncovering trends and turning some of those stats into strategy. So, I would say, buckle up, because we’re going to have a data-driven adventure at some point in season five as well.

Kristi: That sounds amazing. Lisa, I can’t wait. How about you, Chris? What are you planning to cover?

Chris: Yeah, I mean, there’s so much happening in talent mobility right now. It’s hard to choose just a couple, but one topic that I’m really keen to explore is the ever-evolving geopolitical landscape. It’s a hot topic right now, no matter where you are in the world, and one I’m eager to explore with all of our listeners.

And just like this past season, we’re going to keep that spotlight on sustainability too. There’s a lot to cover and build on from earlier episodes with Andy Conduit-Turner, Mr. Cartus’ ESG himself, and Dave Carlos from Just One. And we’re going to be looking at how mobility teams can drive real change. So, those are just a couple of episodes I’d like to explore for season five.

Lisa: Those sound so great, Chris, I’m really excited about that. And you know, when it comes to the topics that we cover, I feel like and Terri and Kristi, you know a lot about this, having been the hosts this past year, but it’s really in the hands of you, our listeners. If you have a great idea for a topic or a guest, just get in touch with Chris or me, and you can find us on LinkedIn.

We’d love to hear from you, and we are open to all the input from our listeners. We want to make this program your go-to when you’re out running an errand or doing a walk around the block or just taking a pause with a cup of tea or a cup of coffee, that’s what we’re looking for. So, hope you’ll definitely give your input as our trusted listeners.

Chris: Yeah, absolutely. I mean, we want Mobility Matters to be shaped by you, the listeners, right? So, if there’s a topic, you’re passionate about, a guest that you’d love to hear from, then do reach out to Lisa or me on LinkedIn, because we are all ears for ideas to help us shape the upcoming season, right?

Lisa: Absolutely.

Terri: I like the way you put that. I have to say, Kristi, it’s really bittersweet to hand over the mic, but we couldn’t be more confident that Lisa and Chris will take Mobility Matters to even greater heights in the coming season.

Kristi: Yeah, I know, I completely agree. It’s been a blast, but I’m so excited to hear more about next season. So, with that, that’s all from the both of us, and that is all for season four. Thank you so much to all of our listeners. It’s been an absolute pleasure, and we can’t wait to tune in next year as Lisa and Chris take the helm.

Terri: Absolutely and if you haven’t already, now’s the perfect time to catch up on all of our past episodes. Head to cartus.com/podcast to hear every conversation from Mobility Matters season four and beyond, thank you and take care.
